GIF IMAGES CONVERSION |
Ben E. McCoy |
| | Hey there, lee.
thanks for the reply-to-me-reply.
you search for a program that converts GIF
images to a more workable format like JPEG/JPG
sounds like you want one that handles such
conversions IN BULK FORM, yes?
all the freebie software off the Net usually
handles such conversions piecemeal -- one at a time.
i will keep an eye open for any program i may come
across which may suit both our mutual purposes,
of course, one that is freeware. 10-4?
best of the day,
ben. |

RE: GIF IMAGES - KFWB |
Lee Tucker |
| | Hi Ben
Yeah, unfortunately it appears that any GIF images that I upload to the ARSA
Database will have to be converted to JPEG/JEG images if that is your desired
image. FYI, I will be uploading most of the 1960, 1961, and a few 1962 KFWB GIF
images to the ARSA database in the upcoming months. A long, long time ago. I
looked into buying a program that would convert non-JPEG images to JPEG but gave it
up when I couldn't find one that cost less than triple digits. Best of luck.
Cheers

GIF IMAGES - KFWB |
Ben E. McCoy |
| | Back to you, Lee, and a Big Howdy:
all right then, your explanation on the mystery
of the GIF posts settles the matter, thank you.
so it remains that any photoshopping those surveys
at my end always entails converting them first
back to JPEG/JEG format.
but what the hey, things "are what they are", yes?
best regards,
ben. |

RE: GIF POSTINGS BY LEE TUCKER |
Lee Tucker |
| | Hi Ben
I'm assuming you're talking about the 1959 and now 1960 KFWB surveys I'm
contributing/will contribute. I downloaded these some time ago courtesy of their
kfwb98.blogspot and they are what they are on their blogspot - GIF images. Any GIF
images I upload to the ARSA database are courtesy of GIF images I acquire from
fellow survey enthusiasts or that I download, as my scanner produces JPEG images.

GIF POSTINGS BY LEE TUCKER |
Ben E. McCoy |
| | Hi Lee,
just want to ask why more and more of your posted survey images are in the GIF
format???!!!
(instead of JPG or JPEG)
whenever i download your GIF images, i have to transmogerate them into a remedial
format which allows me to photoshop them for enchancement purposes before i print
them out.
a bit more effort on my part, to be sure, so that's the reason for my inquiry.
sincerely,
ben mccoy. |

CHUM charts of the 1960s |
K.A. Scott |
| | Just a quick note to thank Craig Puccio for all his work on preparing a recent batch
of CHUM charts for entry into ARSA. As of today, ARSA has *every* CHUM chart issued
during the 1960s entered into the database. The 1980s and 1950s were completed some
time ago -- now it's on to the 1970s!
Cheers,
- Kenn. |

RE: I want to contribute surveys |
Gary Pfeifer |
| | Joe,
Thanks for your generousity and willingness to share some of your surveys! If
you want to enter the surveys yourself, you'll need to email the aite
administrator, Tim Warden. He's the only one who can set you up for that.
If you're not looking to type up and enter the surveys yourself, you can send
them to me and I'll get them into the queue for my entering into ARSA.
Thanks!

I want to contribute surveys |
Joe Martin |
| | Hi Gary:
I've messaged you a couple of times. I'd like to contribute several surveys from a
market that is not represented (Wichita Falls, TX). How do I go about doing that?
Thanks,
Joe Martin |

RE: WGEM SURVEY 11-7-66 |
Gary Pfeifer |
| | With the addition of this single, it made for three different Intruders groups
causing a little confusion for the database. It should be matching up correctly
now. |

Strong desire to contribute surveys |
Craig Pucci |
| | Dear Mr. Ken Scott,
May I have the honour to present myself. My name is Craig, and I have a strong
desire to contribute various surveys. I was told by Mr. Pfeifer that you contribute
a large amount of Canadian surveys to Las Solanas. I noticed that you contributed a
great number to which few to no one has any access. I have access to the CHUM and
Vancouver, BC surveys to which I want to help contribute so that I may ease your
workload.
If or when you recieve this message, please feel free to contact me at
gannatuccio@gmail.com.
Thank you and God bless,
Craig |
