W M A K “Home Of The All-Americans”
        Salutes Jeff Peeples !!!!!
Last week, Jeff showed his “All-American” athletic
ability by throwing a record across the Cumberland
River-----W M A K sponsored the “record throw”
to help raise money for HEART FUND and gave
Jeff $1300 for his great pitch-----in true “All-
American” style, Jeff donated half the prize
to the HEART FUND. Jeff Peeples certainly deserves
the title of WMAK’S YOUNG AMERICAN OF THE WEEK!
Note on record throw & Peeples: According to my Dad,
before the contest, WMAK had several people try to
throw a 45 across the river, and determined it couldn’t be done.
So the prize money was safe. Well, except until Jeff.
